Jimmie Smith Live in Chicago
This is a digital, multi-track, audio recording of one of Jimmie's best
live shows, performed on August 28, 2004 at the Diversey Yacht Club, on
the shore of Lake Michigan, in Chicago. It features Chicago's, and the
world's, finest veteran blues musicians, and has been edited, mixed and
mastered with Jimmie's personal involvement, at the highest level of
sound engineering and production, to achieve the best audio quality
available on CD.
The musicians include Scott Bradbury (Scotty & The Bad Boys, Jimmy
Rogers) on harmonica, Gene Pickett (Jimmy Johnson, Big Time Sarah)
on keyboard, Nick Charles (Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy,
Junior Wells, Lefty Dizz, Valerie Wellington, Billy Branch) on bass, and
Patrick Doody (Lonnie Brooks, Alligator Records All-Star Band) on
drums.
The CD features 14 songs, which were the highlights of the three-hour
show, including 12 Chicago Blues classics and two jazz instrumentals.
The result is 78 minutes of high-energy music, capturing the excitement
and spontaneity of Jimmie's live performances, with an all-star Chicago
Blues band.

Timemension - The Neopolitans
This music video was filmed and recorded at Edit Chicago visual arts
studio in Chicago. The DVD features a seven-minute original jazz-rock
composition by guitarist/pianist Bill Malek, performed spontaneously,
and edited and produced with creative and dramatic visual effects by
Bill and guitarist/drummer Anthony Izzo, both of whom are
professional video editors with decades of experience in this field.
The musicians include Jimmie on guitar, Bill on piano, Gary Wiggins
on saxophone, Nick Charles on bass, Anthony on drums and Brendan O'Neill on drums.
This performance was recorded shortly before Jimmie, Gary and Nick
toured Scandinavia with Lefty Dizz in June of 1983. Detroit Gary
Wiggins has been living and touring in Europe since the mid-1980s,
and is based in Berlin, Germany. Brendan O'Neill toured
internationally with Irish blues-rock guitarist Rory Gallagher
throughout the 1980s, and has been a member of veteran, British
blues-rock-r&b band, Nine Below Zero, since 1990. Brendan, who was born
and raised in Belfast, North Ireland, is based in London, and tours
with his band throughout Europe.
